Student delegations choose a country to represent, learn about the governments, national interests, and foreign policies of that country, and gain a better understanding of important international concerns and the activities of the United Nations.

Delegations write resolutions, submit them prior to the event, and then debate, amend, and vote on selected resolutions in committees of the General Assembly.
