Probe News, a magazine out of Dhaka, Bangladesh, published an article in August on the International Institute and the City of Buffalo. The author, Dr. Uttam Kumar Das, came to meet the staff of the IIB through a collaboration with UB's English Language Institute (ELI) last summer. In the article, which can be found here, he writes about the plight of Burmese refugees in Western New York and on the services provided by the International Institute.
The International Institute of Buffalo provides home hospitality for the ELI's visiting scholars and students three times a year. Our extensive base of volunteer host families welcome these international visitors into their home for a warm meal and great conversation.
